Poured on-tap at the brewpub and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a bright, copper-orange coloring with a bubbly, lasting, white, foamy head. Nose of toasted grains, with sweet and spicy rye character, with hints of citrus sweet. Flavors of toasted grains forward, with citrus and resinous hops quickly following. Bitter overtones, with a sweet balance. The aftertaste is tangy sweet and bitter on a smooth, light body. Dry, crisp finish. Smooth brew.

Visited CBC today (19MAY12) for lunch. This was my post pulled-pork bier, dessert if you will... A 12oz teardrop set me back $5.75.

The color was a deep, clear amber. Had minimal carbo, and the head was beige, fine and thin, leaving decent lacing. Aroma put forth some caramel and toasty malts, plus some citrus. The body was solidly medium, and it was nice going over the tongue.

Caramel was also present in the flavor, with ryeish spiciness easily evident. Rindy hops hit the palate, with pithy bitterness abundant. Solidly tasty and pleasing. Though I gave this the same ratings as the Spring Training IPA, I preferred this just a tad more. Zum Wohl!!
