From 08/18/12 notes. Had on tap at the brewpub; served in a tulip.
a - Pours a somewhat clear deep orange color with one inch of fluffy white head and low carbonation evident.
s - Smells very hoppy. Smells of citrus hops, floral hops, spice, Belgian style yeast, fruity malts, pepper, and some grapefruit. Pretty nice nose.
t - Tastes of fruity malts, spice, pepper, Belgian yeast, earthy notes, floral hops, and some citrus. Not as hoppy as the nose, and more fruity.
m - Medium body and low carbonation. At 6% ABV it is very easy to drink.
o - Overall a pretty nice Belgian pale ale. The nose reminded me more of a hoppy Belgian IPA, but the taste was fruitier and less hoppy. Worth checking out, would have it again.
