Pours a hazy orange with a decent head and great lacing. The aroma is slightly sour and quite herbal with coriander and perhaps yarrow. The taste is bold and extremely herbal as well as bitter on the finish. A little rough around the edges, this one. Not all that smooth, and a bit too herbal for me, but not bad.

Feisty foamy head that fell to a thin layer. Cloudy amber.

Yeasty pale wheat aroma. Belgian funk.

Sweet than a bitter spice. Big dry hops and a tad salty. Fully bod with a fruity and nutty presence. Spices are clove and coriander, reminds me of a spicy hefe. Bready and yeasty! Yum!

Overall, a great drinker and a good beer. It's just ashame they have so many other great ones to choose from. Damn them for making a wild/sour ale and a redIIPA!!! I'm only one man, how can they expect me to choose!

A deep golden yellow with a moderate white head that leaves a small amount of fine lace. The aroma was yeasty and clove like and this carried into the flavor where it was complemented by a late bitter hop finish. Very crisp and dry. Quite interesting.

A: Pours a clear golden color, with hints of copper as well. Not much head on this one, and leaves a little bit of lacing.

S: The aroma is of a bready, slightly sweet malt, a hint of spices, and a slight bitterness of hops.

T: The taste is well-balanced, featuring a bready and caramel malt backbone with a nice hit of hops up front. The spices are still there - not sure what they are, but it's a little bit of something different to make this a bit more unique.

M: Light carbonation, and a very smooth mouthfeel with a slightly dry finish make this pretty decent.

D: Definitely worth a try. Not something I'd probably drink all the time, but I'd go back to it from time to time.

Poured out a clear golden brown with a thin white head that dissapeared quickly. Not much in the nose, a little bit of spice and malt, but not much. The taste has some malty sweetness, with a little spice (ginger?) in the background. Finishs fairly clean, just a touch of sweetness lingering. Decent mouthfeel, very drinkable.

On tap in a tulip glass, awesome head retention with a mildly hazed golden orange hue.

Bursting with exotic fruit and medicinal undertones that go herbal. Hint of fruity esters, good level of hop bitterness. Honey-like malt sweetness. Suggestions of plums and passion fruit. Extremely drinkable and even at 6.4% abv it will catch up with you.

Pours the color of a shiny penny with a slight haze. Head ringed the edbges of the glass and created a layered lace. Nose was sugars and mild spices. Flavor was at first sweet malts with a bit of orange peel. The beer finished much stronger in spices with cinnamon and nutmeg coming through. A slight hint of hops came through as well. Mouthfeel was a little bit watery with a medium body.

From notes ...

Served in a 10oz tulip glass this beer presents itself with a clear orange-y/amber beer with a creamy, sticking lace. Spiced aroma with notes of yeast. Flavor is also spicy with coriander, hints of ginger, and clove. Leafy, bitter hop bite with a citric-rind edge. Not a lot of sweetness going on, but there is mentions of apricot. Finishes with yeast and earth, then goes bone-dry.

This is a solid, damn good beer, all around. Does Will make a bad beer?

Served in a 12oz tulip glass, this Abbey had a medium-golden color, and was clear throughout. Head was white, fine and thin, mostly just ringing the perimeter of the glass, and leaving decent lace. Nose was subdued, with mild, grainy malt coming forth. Body was a bit more towards the thin side than medium, and there was a slight prickliness on the tongue. A light, malty sweetness was first tasted, with some hints of something like ginger coming forth as well. I also tasted a mild hint of fruitiness near the end, where it tended to finish slightly dry. An interesting bier. Skol!!

This Abbey Pale Ale was offered as a special at the brewpub.

It poured a nice, clear, golden amber color with white foam that left lace on the glass. The smell was nice and malty with some floral hops noticeable. The taste was malty with a good balance of floral hops. The mouthfeel was initially dominated by the lively carbonation. The body was medium, and the feel was clean. This was a very drinkable ale, and it was served in a Belgian glass at the brewpub.
