Enjoyed at the barley wine festival. Reviewed from notes.
A - Poured into a snifter a hazy dark chestnut hue with no real head or legs.
S - Aromas of nice honey and caramel, good port wine, light sweetness, nice red grapes.
T - Taste is similar to the nose, good caramel and honey. Sweet malts, light oak/vanilla which goes quite nicely with the good red wine/grape notes.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, good light sweetness, slightly sticky.
O - Overall this was a solid beer. Nice port/grape notes compliment the barleywine. Really pleasant nose as well.
