Poured in the CBC Beergarden during the 24th Anniversary.
A three minute pour from the bartender. That gives one the idea of how frothy the beer is. The head does slowly settle to a thin layer of bubbles. Plenty of blanketing lace. Nearly clear. Amber color.
Superb blend of mild toast (malt) and earthiness. There's a excellent hop presence.
Starts with a pale malt. Given the ABV (4.8%), I would have categorized this an IPA, but the hop bite says otherwise. I guess one could call this a Super Extra Special Bitter. The tale of the tape is the bitterness. It comes mid-sip and lasts to over a minute past the swallow. The body accurate and the carbonation high.
If you're a hop head, you'll enjoy this without worrying about getting too drunk too soon.

On tap at the brewpub.
Clear orange, white head and light lacing. Nose of tangerine, clementine and some pale malt notes. Light sweetness. Tastes just about the same, with the addition of some herbal hop notes to go with the heavily tropical hop profile. Medium light body, and likewise carbonation. Super drinkable.
