On draft at chomp n swig in SF. Great, tasty, refreshing helles bock/lager. To my palate it is a great pilsner coupled with light fruit hops at the back end.

On tap at the 2014 Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest held at the Paso Robles Event Center in Paso Robles, CA.
Pours a clear gold with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and grass aromas. Taste is much the same with grain and grass flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clean, clear bright yellow color with about 1/2 inch of white head that had moderate retention and almost no lacing.
The aroma was mostly nice earthy grains, with some gentle hops offering a counterpoint. The beer was much better defined on the tongue, the grains coated nicely, and the hops came across a lot crisper.
The body was smooth and full for a lager. Drinkability was good, this is one quick drinker. Overall, a very nice take on the style, certainly worth a shot if you see it.
