On-tap at City Tap House, Washington, DC
A: The beer is dark reddish amber in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a thin tan head that died down and left a thick collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of toasted malts are present in the nose along with some notes of floral and spicy hops.
T: The taste is a lot more hop-forward compared to the smell and has a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is an interesting take on a Munich Dunkel Lager. The strong dose of hops completely change the taste from what you would normally expect from the style, even to the point where it is more bitter than malty.
