I prefer stouts black. That being said, my primary criticism is this is mahogany brown. Also a tad thin. Otherwise a fairly solid brew. Maybe call it a brown ale?

Pours as beautiful as any nitro stout. Aroma and flavor are richer than most and not watery (the downfall of Guinness, Murphy, etc.). Feel is smooth and silky. Goes down way too quickly.
I wish more brewers would make Irish Dry Stouts. It can be so much better than Guinness.

Beer enjoyed on draft. It pours a dark brown and hold onto a frothy head. Smells quite strongly of roasted malt. The taste accurately captures the Irish stout style but the feel is a bit lighter and crisper than what one expects. This makes for a surprisingly refreshing and drinkable dry stout, though it makes for rather subdued flavor. Notes of roasted malts and cocoa are a bit light and do not linger as long as one would like. Overall a good Irish dry stout which goes down easy but comes up slightly short on flavor and finish.

On Draft
Tight frothy two finger head of nitrogen-based foam
Smell of roasty dark malt
Taste has excellent depth for the style, yet balanced and light enough to be excellently drinkable. Tastes of caramel and cocoa intermixed with the malt base
Feel is a light and smooth body with a nice bite.
Overall: Best irish dry stout I've had. Pleasant surprise. Great flavor with a good feel.

On draft (nitro) at the brand new Sierra Nevada facility in Mills River, NC. Inky black with a light tan head. Somewhat sweet, with caramel and cocoa predominating. Thin mouthfeel for a stout - detracts from the overall impression. Quite smooth. OK, but not one of my favorites.
