On tap at Southern Goods in Houston. The cliff notes version, a well done beer camp offering by Southern Goods own Ruben.
A: Pours a near opaque black, with a bit of brown. A two finger beige head forms with excellent retention and some lace.
S: Milk chocolate, light roast, nutty yeast and light dark fruits, Not particularly complex, but more and more comes out in time. Really enjoyable.
T: Like the nose, big milk chocolate up front. Coffee is light, with a bit of cream as well. Some roast, and a nice nutty character. Again some dark fruits intermingle. Layered and really enjoyable.
M/O: A full body that is well carbonated. Though ultra smooth at the same time. I had several pints at the bar. Yeah, again really enjoyable and well made.
Not much more to say. A really well done rich and smooth porter. Pretty much spot on for the style. I like it a lot.
