Served in a nonic at the Ginger Man.
Appearance: A one finger off white head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a dark brown color with no vision of anything. Frothy lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Banana, clove, spice, wheat, and caramel.
Taste: Same as above. Very delicious, chewy, and smooth.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, a little chewy, medium carbonation, and medium bodied.
Overall: Pretty nice Dunkelweizen. I'd get another.

12/28...on tap at Mills River. Pours dark brown, tan foam. Nutty bready caramel nose, plus bananas and molasses. Heavy banana flavor, milk chocolate maple syrup. Really tasty, sweet but balanced. Make this one a regular!

On tap on New Year’s Eve in the NC Sierra Nevada Taproom.
Clear but very dark reddish-brown body topped by a good head that leaves sheets of lacing.
Aroma: typical sweet weizenbock aspects but of exceptional appeal.
Flavor: follows the nose excepting the mild overall bitterness. Alsohol esters make the high ABV more obvious here than in the nose or feel.
Feel: Near medium body and medium carbonation.
Overall: fine example of a style that is not one of my favorites.
