Pours a dark brown, lighter brown head makes up about 10% of the volume. Aroma was leaning heavy on the chocolate powder, less on the coffee.

Taste was also way big on the chocolate milk aspect. Drinks really easy, it is session after all. Coffee comes out more as it warms up. Not overly sweet, but I'll be damned if this beer truly doesn't taste like chocolate milk more than any beer I've ever had, even Moo Hoo. Cacao powder and lactose all over this. Not overly sweet.

Had a pint on tap at the Mills River taproom following lunch. Pure black as night and a very thin khaki head. The smells, wow...deep cacao and sweet milk chocolate bar almost like a Hershey's. Smooth, easy and light body, residual sweetness from the lactose and a burst of rich dark chocolate. But again, the lactose gives you that Hershey's taste. Man, down right amazing! Very sessionable and a great dessert beer, I couldn't drink three in a row but well done. Great showing on a milk stout

On tap on New Year’s Eve in the NC Sierra Nevada Taproom.

Clear but very dark red-brown with a very good head that leaves some patterned sticky lacing.

Aroma:pronounced note of dark chocolate dominates, with coffee and dark bread following.

Flavor: follows the nose; this beer has a serious and quite pleasing dark chocolate component. Only slightly sweet with a perfect amount of countering bitterness. Delightful, chocolate/coffee aftertaste.

Feel Medium-full body and medium-light carbonation.

Overall: exceptionally tasty and pleasing, especially for just 4.1% ABV.
