On tap at the Sierra Nevada Torpedo Room in Berkeley, CA.

Pours a hazy copper with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of caramel, toffee, fermented fruit, scotch, and slight smoke aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, earthy hop, caramel, scotch, wood, and slight smoke flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with an interesting scotch barrel aging that is more fruity than smoky to me.

Serving type: on tap.
