We're constantly brewing new IPAs looking for bold hop flavor. With this beer, our brewers thought it was so good that we decided to serve it straight from the tanks - unfiltered, unprocessed, and raw - to let all the fruit-forward hop flavors shine. The result is a hazy beer with modest bitterness and intense hop character. To some, making an unfiltered hop bomb may seem crazy, but to us, its a hazy little thing called IPA.

Okay, I must admit, this is my all time favourite from all affordable beers, full stop. So my review may not be completely objective.
Comes in a 12 fl.oz. printed can, it got my attention straight away with the design. Opening comes with a hiss, so it's carbonated enough.
Top: it forms a good, slightly off-white head, lasting for 5 minutes, slowly descending. Medium sized bubbles, not creamy, but not soapy either.
Colour: gorgeous hazy golden.
Smell: after 5 minutes of decanting it emits very fresh citrus aromas (grapefruit, lemon, lime) with slight alcohol tones in the background which is also a warning: it's a 6.7% ABV beauty, don't fall for the breezy fresness, it's got plenty of power within.
Taste: ohh, absolutely delightful. Malts are just noticeable, but it's actually a hop dominated territory. Unbelievably fresh with plenty of fruit (mandarin, grapefruit and some lemon) aromas wrapped in a microbubble blanket with some warming alcohol tones underneath. Then comes the beautiful bitterness, those hops, ohh... Long lasting mouthfeel, bittersweet taste stays after the sip for a surprisingly long time. Semi-dry finish.
Summary: it's a lovely one, a good standard NEIPA, don't miss out, you may just find your new affordable favourite, or -as it happened in my case- something like the 0,0,0 coordinates right in the centre of the beer universe you can compare all other IPAs or NEIPAs to.
Its performance is well balanced, plenty of fresness, plenty of hops, plenty of power and very drinkable. I'm aware Sierra Nevada states it's not a NEIPA, but whoever tasted even just once knows it IS the very definition of it.
I've tasted more unique beers, but they all had a massive price tag. That being said, I wouldn't mind if this would be the only beer I could drink for the rest of my life.

Pours copper with some decent haze - nose gives bread rolls, toasty malt, light caramel, and herbs. The taste is right up the middle for an IPA, hitting on malt, pine, some fruit notes, and finishing slightly resinous but clean. Super solid overall, good everyday beer.

An IPA loaded with flavor. Intense aroma of citrus and hops. Solid hop flavor slows you down as you savor it. It pours with a solid white head that hangs around nicely. A classic IPA that doesn't push the ABV into the stratosphere like Elysian Space Dust, a mere 6.7%. Way beyond any lager. One of my favorite US brewers.

Main thoughts about this beer:
Refreshing, sweet, juicy and fruity, Juicy Fruit (it seriously reminds me of the gum), somewhat subtle.
There are also some nice, but subtle floral and piney complexities. Overall, has a lot of good flavor and is enjoyable to drink, but is on the low key side for an IPA.

From a 12 oz can into a pint glass, hazy orange yellow color with a massive white foamy head. Slow fade with lots of sticky residual foam and lacing. Nose of citrus – primarily oranges. Tastes semi-sweet citrus fruity – tangerine / orange with mild, dry citrus hops at the end. In the mouth it’s watery and quenching with low viscosity. Overall, a decent hazy citrus IPA. Would try again.

The 12 oz can pours beautifully. A 2.5 finger head is light and fluffy with a little lacing as things calm down. The look is hazy and raw, letting you know you're in for an adventure. It's slightly citrus, candy citrus and a bit hoppy on the nose. Then for me, though, the adventure slows down. The taste is nice, but tame, very tame. Some light citrus orange, maybe stonefruit, but again very light. No hoppy west coast thing at all, really, but again, it's a New England style, so that's not expected. It's really nice, maybe too nice. It feels to me like a good introductory hazy IPA for someone who wants to ease into the realm of hazys.

Hazy golden pour, steady half finger of white foam, bits if lace forming. Nose is tropical fruit.
Taste is mango, pineapple, papaya, sweet citrus, light kilned malt. Medium mouthfeel, creamy oats. Finish is citrus and lightly dank resin notes with a little extra tropical jam at the end.
