Old Chico Brand Amber Ale began as a small, brewery only beer, but the word gout out an soon it became a local hit. Amber Ale's smooth amber body and balanced flavor have turned it into a perennial favorite in Chico and we're proud to bottle it for our hometown crowd.

My son grabbed a 6-pack on a recent trip to Chico. Apparently, it is brewed seasonally and only distributed in and around Chico.
Pours a beautiful, translucent amber with a rather thin tan head.
Roasted malts on the nose.
The malt is there but mostly I got a delightful nutty flavor.
Smooth but a bit "thin".
Slight sweetness on the finish.
Liked it a lot ... wish it was easier to find. Perhaps I need to move back to Chico.

Amber and hazy with little carbonation and a huge, beige toned, 5 fingers of head.
Smells of rust, toasted malts and a hint of floral hops.
Tastes of toasted malts, with a hint of citrus and orange.
Medium body with little carbonation.
Got at the Brewing Company gift shop in Chico, CA, being told by the clerk its only sold in Northern California. Decent brew.
