Uncannily crisp
IPLs - India Pale Lagers - have an uncanny crispness not often round in other hop-forward beers. This bright flavor is emphasized by our hearty use of fresh Sterling hops, which add a pop or lemony, herbal and floral dry-hop character.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a huge billowy white head. The head has fantastic retention slowly fading over time to leave a ton of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is big of a grainy and caramel aroma that has some other notes of citrus hop as well. There is also a very light smell of light fruit of peach and apricot, which with the rest, produce a rather sweet and inviting aroma.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet doughy taste that has some flavors of caramel and a little bit of a citrus hop. As the taste advances the sweeter flavor increase, with some apricot coming to the tongue. All the while, some other hop tastes of pine and herb come to the tongue as well, and with the changes in the taste profile that occur, one is left with a rather sweet, somewhat moderately hopped, but quite flavorful and robust taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly heavier side for an IPL of its abv. with a carbonation level that is average. While for a lager I would have expected something a little lighter in body, for the sweeter tastes the feel was quite nice, and overall makes a good medium for all the flavors to be well appreciated.
Overall – A rather tasty brew overall. Not super strong in hop and a little sweet, but very flavorful and easy drinking. Not the best IPL I have ever had (a little too thick and sweet), but overall if you are looking for something sweeter this is a fantastically flavorful brew.

Beautiful big foam on the clear amber brew in the Stella Artois goblet. This is really citrusy, lots of lemon. Surprisingly sweet. Aromas of honeysuckle, lime peel, and tangerine. Resiny taste with orange marmalade. Lush carbonation in the mouth with a prickle of acidity.

Definitely a candied hop taste-- even more so than the Double IPA version. I wouldn't call it "crisp." Overall, though, it's so fragrant and interesting that I don't mind the sugar, but it's very reminiscent of the sweet, strong blonde Bock beers with an unaccountable big dose of hops. From the mixed 12-pack of cans purchased at Haggen Market.

On the first warmer late winter day, I cracked open this deep golden gem. Super crisp and refreshing, getting a lemony tang from Sterling hops, this is a hop forward lager made to quench.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a large, white head of bubbly foam. It smelled of resiny pine, citrus and toasted caramel . Big piney bite with hints of orange and a toasted malt finish.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a Shaker pint glass, "PKGD" date "103018".

APPEARANCE: pours a clear, golden color with one-finger white head and excellent retention that stubbornly retreated until a thin, unbroken layer of small bubbles remained to the end, significant lacing on the glass, highly carbonated.

SMELL: bread, white crackers and an earthy note, subtle to the nose.

TASTE: initially very sweet, the pilsner malt really shines through then an earthy hop profile that is understated, the 7% ABV is imperceptible so watch out!

PALATE: medium body and highly carbonated but somehow still somewhat creamy.

OVERALL: this is another solid beer form SN, this brewer is world class and I enjoyed this as part of a sampler pack, I have never had a bad beer from this brewer and will continue to remain a loyal customer, I would recommend this to anyone who likes beer.

A: crystal clear; deep gold in color; 2 finger ivory head that receded to a thin cap; very nice lacing;

S: floral with lemon and lime;

T: almost flavorless up front; from the middle through the finish, it's lemon and lime; mild bitterness at the end;

M: medium bodied;moderate carbonation; lightly dry finish;

O: refreshing; easy drinking;

Appearance: Clean amber with huge off-white head and lovely lace.

Aroma: Delicious floral and citrus hops.

Taste: Huge hoppy presence here, like hop syrup. Packed with flavor, and at 7%, this lager will fool you. Stunning!

Mild hop aroma, pours a clear golden with a full white head. Mild in flavor as well, just a touch of citrus and pine, with some malt sweetness, fading to a mildly bitter finish. Not a bad beer, but there's very little to make this one stand out.
