Otra Vez means “another time,” and for Sierra Nevada that time is early California when beers were made from local ingredients. The brewery trialed various native produce searching for great flavors. Prickly pear cactus flourishes in the state’s arid deserts, and grapefruit fills the Central Valley’s flats. Together their fruity-tangy blend makes Otra Vez, whose tartness is true to the Gose style, pop with character.
Note: Replaced in the regular lineup by the Lime & Agave version in early 2018. Still appears as a special.

Copenhagen 2/12 2017. 35,5 cl bottle from Meny. A prickly cactus from the valley on the label.
Pours hazy pale yellow with a small bubbly white head. Disappears fairly fast. No lacing.
Aroma is of wheat and tart fruit. Sour lemonade, Grapefruit, lime and thin sugary odor in the background.
Strong and prickly carbonation and watery palate.
Flavor has a light to medium sweetness followed by strong fruity sourness. Aftertaste is sour with light sweet notes.
Pleasant enough fruity sour fellow with just enough sweetness for balance to make me keep a smile on my face.

Hazy, yellow color. Medium, white head. Lemon, grapefruit, tartness, and wheat in aroma. Taste is tart, earthy, with a hint of salt. Refreshing and easy to drink.

his beer sounded interesting so purchased back in 2018. and tried it. Pours a clear golden color with minimal head. It has a citrus taste that is more grapefruit forward than anything. It has a nice flavor profile and well balanced. 5 IBUs Rated 8-2-2018

Bottle from Brewers Haven. Pours out a pale golden with fairly abundant airy head. Aroma is mildly citrusy and fruity, pineapples come to mind. Taste brings some mild tartness, and this finishes fairly dry.
