Picked this up at the Mills River Brewery on 6-15-21 as offering #2 of the 2021 Alpha Hop Society. Consumed 6-16-21.
Beer poured black with a nice light brown head with the original pour.
After uncorking the bottle, nose was a nice dose of herbal mint, dark chocolate, and moderately roasted malts.
Taste is really well done with a huge malt base combining very nicely with an ever so slight touch of bourbon, dark cocoa, and a nice touch of mints. Hopping is very well done as the sweetness is offset very well.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and very smooth.
Overall this is another really well done dessert beer. The bourbon is present in this version and definitely helps round things out more. Fun to try and a good one to share with friends!
