A stripped-down grain bill of two-row pale and Carapils puts the spotlight squarely on hop varieties including Chinook, Columbus, and Simcoe for punchy aromas of orange rind, candied grapefruit peel, and woodsy resin. The style’s trademark bitterness balances the faint malt sweetness, while notes of pine and citrus ride through the effortlessly crisp and clean finish.

Picked up a cold 6-pack of 2022 AHS release #2 yesterday at the Mills River location. Canned 3-7-22; consumed for review 3-26-22.
Beer poured clear gold with a very nice large white head.
Nose come across as biscuity malts and herbal hops.
Taste is very Pilsner like with a large but light malt base. Hops used lend to a herbal piney finish with some grapefruit that have enough alpha pedigree to lead to a 7/10 bitterness finish.
Mouthfeel is light, clean, and refreshing considering this is an imperial.
Overall this is a very interesting beer as it comes across as a Double IPL even though the yeast used is ale. Glad i was able to try!
