Very light in color. Yellow haze, thin white head on it, 1/5". Aroma had all kinds of spice rack going for it. Pepper, clove, phenolic belgian yeast. Aroma was meh in terms of hops.
Taste wasn't hoppy either. Disappointing from a hopped ipa perspective. This is really yeast driven and that is about all it has going for it.

Drank at the brewery. Very light in color, yellow haze comes out, thin wispy white head leaving not much lace. Aroma was complex to say the least, clove, pepper, the prototypical belgian yeast (no chico yeast on this one), but the usual cascade hops from SN.
Taste, hops didn't come across as much as I hoped for, thought SN would finally make a belgian ipa with a good hop quotient similar to American or west coast style ipa's, but no, these are not the droids/ipa's you're looking for. Definitely more belgian in feel than your customary SN offerings. Like a tad hoppier kellerweis. The flavor is just dominated by the Westmalle yeast.

On tap at Stamper's in Cleveland. Orange-amber in color, clings to the glass with an off-white head. Piney, wet hop aroma. Oily hop flavor, Westmalle Dubbel yeast profile leading the way. Balanced by a touch of special B malt. Left the palate wanting more. Great beer camp brew by the Clevelanders.

Had this on 2010-10-17 at the Sierra Nevada brew pub in Chico, CA
A - Amber-orange with a short, white head and moderate lacing.
S - Not much happening here. Some light yeast and pine.
T - Lots of yeast, mild malt and mild hop bitterness. Didn't get but a hint of citrus flavor. Some lingering sweetness. No sour notes.
M - Light to medium body and light carbonation yielded a thin mouthfeel.
D - Pretty drinkable but not remarkable. Glad I tried it though.

Described as a Belgian Pale by the Sierra Nevada rep pouring this beer. Another of the Beer Camp brews that were floating around during Cleveland Beer Week.
Now, rumor has it that several of these beers will be released in Sierra Nevada's first mix pack early next year! Not sure if I am hoping this one makes the cut. Certainly a decent beer, but nothing phenomenal.
Really light in color, golden yellow. Average white bubbly head which left minimal lace for me. Smelled sweet, but not too much actual Belgian yeast coming through. Some light pine and even lighter citrus notes.
The flavor was much more Belgian forward, but still nothing too far on that spectrum. Very sweet, well carbonated. The hops make up the rest of the profile. This also tasted closer to a pale than an IPA to me...
Drank really easily. If they do put this in the sampler I wouldn't complain. It probably wouldn't sit in my fridge too long.

On tap at the Bedford Winking Lizard. Served in a pint glass.
From the Winking Lizard World Tour Newsletter: " Also on tap this month is a special beer that our resident Lakewood Winking Lizard Beer Geeks helped brew when they attended Beer Camp at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. It's, a Belgian style pale ale. It will be our Sierra Nevada Seasonal until we run out and switch to Harvest Ale."
I was told by one of the employess who made this they considers it a Belgian IPA not a Belgian Pale, so that's how I added it. I also may have spelled the name wrong. Sorry for any confusion.
n the glass, the beer is a dirty copper penny color with orange edges and little head. A slight white ring and film is present, and I can see some active carbonation. A bit of white film is left on the glass.
The beer us cold but I can tell it's just not very expressive, some mild hoppiness and some Belgian yeast that gives some clove/coriander impressions. The hops add just a touch of citrus orange and lemon, but this certainly isn't a Belgian IPA that will knock your socks off with intense scents.
The taste us decent but just barely has that "bright" taste I like in my Belgian IPAs. Some pleasant citrus tastes from the hops but very yeasty and more dominated by yeast and bitterness than hop flavor. Slight chalk is noted along with spices lime clove and coriander. A very sweet finish with more hop expression. Overall, i found this not too expressive on the IPA tip, but the Belgian aspect is well is covered.
The beer has low carbonation, medium to full feel, and could use just a bit less bitterness and yeast in the finish. I was hoping this would have more orange and bright hops, but it was still decent. I'd probably have it again.
