A - This beer pours a clear straw golden color. It has a big fluffy 3-finger head on it, that left a good amount of laving on the glass. there are a lot of carbonation bubbles visible as well.

S - This smells of pale malt and some spiciness. It also has notes of herbs, yeast, caramel, and there is also a nice earthiness to it.

T - The taste is sweet and citrusy up front. there are notes of lemon zest, citrus hops, piney hops, hay, and some other spices. The hops flavor really intensifies just before the finish, which is crisp and clean.

M - It has a medium-light body with fizzy carbonation. I can feel the light spices on the hop bitterness that is in the finish on my tongue.

D - This has good drinkability. The flavor is good and it's a very easy going beer. I think this would be a good beer to have on a hot day, too bad it'a January. Overall this is a good beer, and I'm glad I got the chance to try it. I would try this one again.

On tap at Rattle-N-Hum in NYC. Pours clear orange in color with a creamy 1/2 inch off white head that lasted an average amount of time and left decent lacing.

Smells of light hops, herbs, grass, biscuit, sweet malt, caramel and yeast, with that slight funky smell which was musty and earthy; maybe some bubblegum in the nose, overall it had a decent aroma.

Tastes of sweet malt, coriander, lemon zest, caramel, yeast, grass, hay, citrus hops, piney hops and light spices like pepper; a blonde that leans towards a hefeweizen with was sweet overall flavor, which I found enjoyable.

Mouthfeel was thin with light fizzy carbonation, a light body and a slight bitter finish. Pretty drinkable and an interesting beer from Sierra Nevada that I would try again if it comes around as it could be a session beer.

They call this a "golden" or "blonde" ale. But it was clearly more than your standard gateway blonde or gold that other breweries make.

Pours a bright and light gold color with a smaller off white head.

Aromas are hoppy. Fresh pine, light grapefruit, and some hard candies.

Taste starts out with light creamy malts, mostly toasted caramel flavors. Beer then settles into some hard candy sweetness, and finishes with a nice blast of pine and grapefruit bitterness.

Mouthfeel is good. Medium body, and nice carbonation.

Drinkability was also good. Nice twist on the usually light gold/blonde ale style. Loved the hoppiness on this one, made it much more interesting than I thought it would be.
