Poured at fridge temp. Pours midnight black with a solid layer of creamy light brown head. The nose is fantastic. Vanilla, maple, chocolate, toffee, slight bourbon, and a nice layer of roasted malts. The taste is equally as good. Rich toffee, maple, vanilla, toasted coconut, fudge, slight barrel, oak, roasted malts, and some nice dark fruit. Very smooth and drinkable. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy and the aftertaste is sweet maple and vanilla. Great stout!

This is just so incredibly balanced, every element is noticeable including the base narwhal. Nothing seems out of tune or out of place. Chocolatey overall, semi-sweet, with accents of a sweet coffee drink that I never order so I can't name it plus gentle booze. There is even a nice layer of nuttiness here. Perfect harmony in my glass right now, thanks much Tom! SN's barrel game is top notch.

Picked up from the Mills River Gift Shop 1-23-23, the 8th and final release from the 2022 AHS season.
Beer poured black with a nice tan head that has some great hang time.
Nose is very good, getting strong notes of vanilla, coffee, and maple.
Taste is excellent with the medium roasted malt base lending notes of chocolate and coffee. Maple addition is subtle and well played. Bourbon barrel lends a note of vanilla and provides a warming heat with each sip. Finishes expertly balanced which would be due to sufficient hopping and the bourbon barrels.
Mouthfeel is full bodied, creamy, and delightfully smooth with each sip.
Overall the AHS team hit a home run with this one!
