For twenty years, this beer has been a secret. It started as a gift-a thank you to our friends at Brauerei Gutmann-and then a special occasion recipe brewed for company parties. It's our version of the Germa Weizenbock, glowing with banana-clove flavors and an added American kiss of hops. Two decades and four gold medals later, it's seeing the bottle for the first time. We're honored to finally share it with you.

Appearance: Cloudy amber with a thick, mousse-like white head. Excellent retention.
Aroma: Banana and clove
Flavor: Banana, clove, pepper, vanilla. Retrained bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Soft, velvety. Full bodied. Slightly warming. Dry finish.
Overall: Wow. This is word class. Looks like a Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen at the pour. Immediately notice the banana and clove aromas. Flavor follows aroma closely with an added vanilla note. Be careful, you do not notice this is 8% abv at all. The mouthfeel is soft and velvety with only a slight warming. This one not only competes with the German imports it may best several of them. Very well crafted. Not one thing to pick at. Special thanks to @carolinacardinals for getting this for me.

Had a pint pour at the Mills River location with lunch on 1-22-25 for $7.00.
A beautiful pour in which the nose and taste was phenolicy as hell. Strong bubblegum and cloves, bordering on the edge of sweet but not at all. Very smooth with each sip. Masterful job of the use of the yeast strain!
