040826. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Crystal clear gold with 2-3 finger foamy white head with below-average retention but some spare scraps of lacing.
S: Lightly bready pils malt and orange and lemon citrus noble hops aromas
T: Flavor echoes the aroma profile with delicious bready slightly toasty pils maltiness with lightly herbal noble hop flavor accented by lemon and orange. Medium bitterness.
M: Light bodied with high carbonation and crisp, dry finish.
O: Not surprisingly, and excellently executed German pils by SN.
Saturday at 07:27 PMA: Crystal clear gold with 2-3 finger foamy white head with below-average retention but some spare scraps of lacing.

This tasted like Corona to me. When I poured it, there was zero head. I'll stick with my go-to here in Oregon: Pfriem.

Appearance - pale straw coloured body with tan head
Smell - floral, grassy, hint of citrus,
Taste - cracker, biscuit, grass, lemon rind
Mouthfeel - medium.bodied, medium plus carbonation, citrus upfront, bready and grassy in the finish
Overall - on its own,this is a decent beer, I'm just not convinced that this is my favourite iteration of a pilsner. Drinks more like an IPL light, I'm looking for something truer to style. Having said that,lager lovers should give this a run and see what they think. This package size needs to go the way of the dinosaur. Who really wants to only drink 8.4 oz of lager?

Pours a slightly chill hazed straw/gold color with one thumb of pearl colored head. Nice head retention & lacing
S: Bready, grassy with perfumy hops
T: Grassy, some lemons, crackery notes & dryness up front. Soapy hops surface as this beer warms up, breadyness, lemons & floral notes once warmer. Finishes a bit dry with grassy bitterness & slight melon & bready sweetness
MF: Medium body, soft carbonation, pretty good balance
Easy to drink, flavors & nose don't pop enough for greatness, expected more. Of all the beers these guys could put in half pint cans...

Tight, pocked white foam over bright, clear gold; Saltines, pine needle, lemon zest + nectar on the nose; cracker, lemon chiffon, florals, and vague spice; clean, soft, dry.

I’ll come right out and say: I don’t know what this is supposed to be.
There’s a big branding push to say this is European and somehow a smaller serving is more authentic (for the record, Czech and German pils both come in .5L glasses). But what’s in the glass is neither one thing nor the other: too soft to be German, too thin to be Czech, and not IBU-forward enough for either. On that last point, 25 IBUs is chronically low in any pils-drinking country - that’s supermarket, Krombacher levels; not anything premium.
Little sparkles of citrus are fun, and it’s dry + well-crafted. But, counter-intuitively, it seems better suited to countries that *don’t* drink pilsner: France or Italy, where a 25cl glass of something crisp before dinner is all you’re after because you’re not, at heart, a beer drinker. And that’s the only context that makes this make sense: the NA, gym-on-Friday-night, young crowd who don’t really drink.
