On tap for the 4th Anniversary event at Blue Palms Brewhouse in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a clear amber with a foamy khaki head that settles to an oily film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, nutty aromas, and some slight cherry/fruity notes. Taste is much the same with a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is drinkable but the cherry presence in the aroma and flavor is very mild.

Had this on tap last night at Blue Palms. It is described as a Cherry torpedo'd imperial brown.
Served in a goblet.
A: Dark mahogony brown, with a half inch of foamy tan head. No light penetration, with light touches of sticky lacing on the glass.
S: Touch of cherry, medium brown sugar, malt, and just a touch of hops.
T: Notes of a blend of medium roasted malts, with hints of cherry, light non sweeet dark chocolate. Mirrors the nose quite seamlessly, well balanced imperial brown ale, with light notes of cherry mixed in. Not overly sweet or fruity by any means, and the alcohol is well masked.
M: Pretty full in body, light carbonation, smooth finish.
O: Good. Solid, well balanced offering, as I expect from Sierra Neveda.
