Dark looking no real head, tap room is darker also so hard to tell.
Nose big malty goodness, light hop and gin hints, dark fruits running thru the malt.
Taste is big malty, good dark fruit notes, barrel aged gin notes go well with the hops. Dark fruits also with the port and molasses. Big flavorable beer.
Mouthfeel is big full chewy, smooth carbonation.
Overall very tasty beer, nose a little subdued.

Enjoyed a 10 oz pour for $12 thru a two-hour dinner at the Mills River campus on 1-23-26. I believe it was said only 3 barrels of this was available in Mills River.
This was very strong in the dark fruit flavors, earthy and sweet but appropriate for an English BW. It was a perfect sipper to accompany a three-course meal.
