Innovation is what started Sierra Nevada: a love of fermentation and belief that beer could be ore. That shared fire is what drew us to Crosby Hops, a fifth-generation family farm. Crosby's passion for innovation comes alive with their CGX NUVO hops. Picked at peak ripeness and frozen in time with a patented cryogenic process, CGX NUVO gives Crosby Double IPA its massive, just-picked hop flavor of bright citrus, melon, and pine.
This Double IPA showcases Crosby-grown Amarillo, Comet, and Crystal hops. The addition of CGX NUVO amplifies everything, delivering massive fresh-hop character that pushes the aroma & flavor to another level.

Picked up 3-500 ml bottles from the Mills River Gift Shop on 5-7-26. Presumably bottled in April 2026; consumed bottle #1 for review 5-15-26.
Beer poured gold with a very nice long lasting white head,
Nose has notes of floral and citrus hops but is not overly pungent. Getting some berry and melon as the beer warms up.
Taste is a pale malt base that sets up the "vaunted" Crosby Farm hops for showcasing. Getting some strawberry and melon up front. Back end brings some grapefruit rind and pine bitterness; 7/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and very soft, each sip is smooth.
Overall, i like the subtle flavor and feel of this brew, definitely different from the normal Chico yeast and C-hop focused IPAs (which i enjoy). Not sure this is great enough and really belongs in the "Club" for that high tier pricing. Oh well, it was fun to try.
