Picked up as part of the Heavy Hitter Costco Case in Spartanburg, SC 2-20-25 for $31. PKGD on canning line 53 (Mills River) on 12-9-24; consumed cans 3&4 for review on 3-18-25. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured clear deep gold with a very nice white head with the original pour.
Nose is nice, getting notes of earthy herbal and citrus hops.
Taste is nice as the moderate pale malt base works nicely with the hopping to give grapefruit, orange, and pine. Finishes with a nice resin bite; 7/10 on my bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and both smooth and refreshing.
Overall, this is another well done American IPA!

Pours clear honey gold with a huge white head, great lacing. Aroma is a blend of tropical and citrus fruits, melons and pineapples. Flavor follows the nose, sweet fruit up front with a hint of bitterness in the finish. Feel is medium bodied. Overall, another fine beer from this fine brewery.

12 oz can from the Heavy Hitter variety 24 pack.
L: Pours 99% clear light gold with a thin white head that recedes to froth and thick skin, medium lush steady carbo bubbles, loose random stretchy lacing.
S: Lightly dank with a herbal hop aroma, caramel malts, lightly floral, a hint of grains.
T: Taste follows aroma with sweetness, pine resin, grapefruit zest, melon. It has a resinous linger and a touch of yeast. Bright tasting.
F: Brisk then smooth medium-bodied feel with a medium-long moderately dry finish.
O: A very lovely tasting American IPA with semi-full flavor and beautiful balance. Another expertly brewed beer from SN. It is excellent in its style.

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. "Hoptinite!"
12 fl. oz. can coded "53 PKGD 120924 15:11". Sampled on 19 February 2025
Notes via stream of consciousness: Wow, it's poured a clear golden body! I didn't think there were any non-hazy IPAs left! Of course I'm kidding but it is nice to see. The head is a short cap of white foam with average head retention. The aroma isn't the brightest either but it's clean and citrusy with grapefruit and a bit of pine. This is old school! On to the flavor... well, there are no surprises here. The malt is bready and sweetish, and the hops are citrusy and piney with some added pienapple. The alcohol is well cloaked. A solid bitterness balances it and leaves it dry, bitter, and piney in the finish. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp. I don't know that I need any extra alcohol in here, I think it would be just fine at 6% instead of 7.5%, but I appreciate that maybe some people want it. To me it's more of a basic West Coast IPA that you could drink a few of if it wasn't so strong.
