Delicious "east-coast" (is that a thing?) IPA. Hoppy with a solid malt backbone bringing it all together! Missing the resinois goodness SN usually gives us. Untappd check-in 15 Dec 23.

Very good. Brown color with an average beige head. Great hoppy aroma of citrus and tropical fruits. Taste is moderately sweet with a dominating hoppy note. Pleasant bitterness in finish, medium body, and carbonation. Bittersweet finish.

10/1/24 (Hotel Room at The Ahern) (Las Vegas, NV). 12 oz canned 7/26/24 @ 118:09 from 9/29 gift beers from brother. 6.2% Red IPA, brewed and canned by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Chico, California and Mills River, North Carolina.
Appearance: 2/3 of can primary pour into shaker pint glass, then a few top offs. Carbonation bursts and then dissipates near instantly upon pouring. Bronze tan clear base, off white tan creamy head leaves generous lacing and long lasting cover. 4.0
Aroma: Malty overall, with barley notes and citrus flavored. Mild light strength. 3.25
Taste: Very malty, citrus, pine, caramel follows. Didn’t like first sips, but let this warm a bit and flavors and enjoyment emerges. Caramel, warm bread, toffee. Nice after I have grown accustomed. 3.75
Mouthfeel: Carbonation AWOL. Drinks at or a bit above ABV. Lightly butter, dryness more pronounced, malt sweetness prevails. Citrus caramel bread finish. 3.25
Overall: This is a decent offering, one you should allow to warm for maximum enjoyment. Flavor the best components, other aspects just average. OK, but works stick with others from the fan pack. 3.25

Very dark blood red brown body, clear though in a way where if not for the dark color you could see through it. Off white head that leaves a half inch and sticks around. Nose is wet malt, sticky hops, a bit of booze, dried citrus peel. Taste is burnt nuts, wet bread, herbal hops. Full bodied.

Pours a deep beautiful dark ruby colour. Light malt aroma with a tad of citrus. Tastes very well rounded with a smooth malty flavor with a very slight hop bitterness. This doesn't really taste like an IPA, but rather a delicious Red Ale or Amber Ale. Still a very good beer though, very refreshing a smooth. Reminds me of my ol' favorite Smithwicks.

Pours a deep red. Thin foam. Light malt aroma. Bland hop body. Light malt flavor with a bitter hop finish. This isn't a great red ale. Pretty weak flavor from start to finish. Really disappointing.

12oz bottle from the recent mix pack pour out an absolutely beautiful mahogany color, deep red and rich, with a cap of off-white tannish head. Very malty, biscuit with some hints of sweetness, the hops have an earthy component and some slight spice character, maybe grapefruit pith and a somewhat herbaceous quality as well, but mostly malty with some nutty sweetness. This one is pretty malt-forward to me, and I was hoping or an actual IPA, i.e. more apparent hop character, so I was disappointed, but it still wasn't bad.
