Awesome looking hazy light yellow pour with thin head.
Very strong aromas of sweet mandarin orange, a very lovely smell!
Not as great tasting as most of the Kern River Brewing beer, but still very, very nice. A little like mandarin orange with a touch of mandarin orange peel and is sweet tasting.
Has a light feel in the mouth and is easy drinking.
Overall another very nice beer from Kern River Brewing!

Packaged on 1/6 - consumed on 3/3 - poured from a tall boy can into my Dogfish Head shaped pint glass.
Moderately murky pear gold liquid with two fingers of off-white foam; sticky medium sized lacing; excellent retention.
A hint of marijuana gives way rapidly to fruit (orange, pineapple, etc.) in the nose.
Herbaceous palate entry, followed by a wave of tropical fruit and citrus (again pineapple and orange in almost smoothie form). Nice potent bitterness that gives way to candied fruit (sweet and faintly tart - mostly orange and grapefruit) and a pleasant dryness with a perceptible malt backbone. Maybe a hint of esters from yeast as well, but it might just be sweetness from the grain bill or the hops themselves. Superb balance.
Creamy yet refreshing mouthfeel.
Bright, fruity, hop-focused with less restrained bitterness than many examples of this "NE" style. Well crafted, and more than the sum of its parts.

From a can this pours a chalky gold, with a chill haze. pineapple on the nose and sip, juicy without being tart or overly bitter. I've yet to be disappointed by a Kern River brew.

Not the first beer from Kern that I had hoped/expected to try, but I’ll take it! A very impressive and delicious version of a NEIPA. Super easy drinking and goes great with a fried chicken sandwich! On tap at Dunedin in North Park in San Diego, of all places.

Just a straight up good beer for the Raul man. I mean, what else can you expect from the ballers at Kern River? Sure, Citra is their “Christiano Ronaldo” beer, but this one is like Zlaten the lion.
Raul go rooooooar!

Appearance: Cloudy straw-yellow color with a generous-sized foamy white head that slowly faded. Not as murky as some NE IPAs but still a nice looking beer.
Smell: Moderate pine aromas and citrus/fruity aromas.
Taste: I get modest pine notes, mild grapefruit and fruity notes, some grassy hop notes and some faint bready malt notes. Moderate bitter hop notes are present in the finish of the beer allowing the beer to finishes moderately dry. The hop notes also provide a hint of mild spiciness.
Mouth-feel: The body is on the light side of medium-bodied with a generous level of carbonation. Typical NE iPA body which is a bit thicker that a typical West Coast/traditional IPA.
Overall: A good take on a NE IPA. I found it this beer to go down nice and easy.

16oz can with no visible date. Opened 5-23-20.
2 finger head domed out over the edge of the glass. Fantastic retention, slow fade with thick lacing left in its path.
Light yellow-gold with a fully integrated hazy pour (+1 for that), no crap at the end tumbling out of the can to ruin the aesthetics.
Stone fruit, oranges, berries with cream, weeds and some other green.
Zesty orange rind, citrus forward - some wild onion in the rear.
Medium body, full and soft mouthfeel. Low but persistent bitterness in a lengthy hop drenched finish.
Outstanding.
