Double Chuuurch, canned 02/09/22 pours an orange juice color, big beautiful head with lacing that is somewhere between a juice bomb and a hazy DIPA. The aroma is fabulous and has a little citrus. The taste is solid beer and is mostly hops with a hint of citrus. The mouthfeel is sticky and a little creamy smooth. The bitterness lingers on the tongue. Overall a delicious DIPA no doubt a West Coast style not quite as dry maybe. I would buy this beer again. Much appreciation to my beloved Raul Mondesi for sharing.

Pours a clear orangey amber with plenty of foam in the Chimay chalice. Quite aromatic, with the profusion of hops. Big aroma of citrus odds and ends. Starts out with some fruity stuff but this is a palate killer. Taste is mostly hot and gets more harsh as you sip. Normally I like DIPAs a lot, but I don't really care much for this. Sometimes too much is just too much. From the 16 oz can dated 02/09/22.

This one does Raul well and good. Like a camel taking a sip from an oasis, I’m pumped like Popeye after a can of spinach and a night with Olive Oil. It’s just smooth and balanced like the Titanic before it went boom.
Alright, I’m out.

Packaged on 2/9 - consumed on 3/5 - poured from a tall-boy can into my Bruery tulip.
Hazy, butterscotch liquid with a fat finger of baby powder soft peaks up top. Sticky, medium density lacing; excellent retention; fast running legs.
Robust, decisive, powerful upthrust of hop aromatics - a lovely mixture of citrus (tangelo) backed by tropical notes (papaya, pineapple) and a hint of scallion.
Palate entry is suffused with hop oil, again well balanced between citrus (orange/grapefruit), some tropical notes (more papaya, pineapple, maybe some guava), and more herbal/peppery notes (scallion, green pepper, white peppercorn, wild grass, etc.). Unrestrained bitterness accompanies the flavor, but is just barely counter-balanced by the malt bill (this isn't that much higher gravity than regular Chuuurch is it?). Evolves nicely flavor-wise and finishes fairly dry.
Alcohol is more present than expected by the ABV, though no fusels are creeping through. Medium-full bodied, but not sticky. Still crisp and refreshing despite being such a hefty hop bomb.
A superior imperial IPA - nicely aromatic while amping up the flavor/attitude compared to Chuuurch.
