Bomber sample- cracked with about a year on it. Pours a very nice ruby with excellent clarity and foamy light beige head. Nose- vinegar, sour cherry. Taste- earthy cherry, stone fruit, strong tannic wood presence but still leaves a juicy finish. Drinking nicely a year in. Not overly complex but a very nice first effort into sour beers from HP. Hopefully more to come.

Befor i begin this rating i have to say that i do not like sours....This one was a sour beer so i rated it that way.
I met the owner, Nicole Barry, a few months ago in the south of Holland. We spent some time together and went to the abbey of Koningshoeven.
I got some bottles of her brewery which were really good but i knew this bottle would contain some sourness.
Poured in a De Molen tasting glass the beers starts quit good with a bit of a foamy head and a nice dark red couloured fluid....
That was the good part, the bad part was the taste, just not my cup of tea. When you love sours beers you will like this beer.
On the bottle was the text strong beer but with an abv of 6.4 i guess this is not a strong beer at all...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
