A: The beer is very dark reddish amber in color and has a bit of haze along with a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died won, leaving only a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of raspberry syrup are present in the nose.
T: The taste has lots of raspberry flavors and strong notes of oak and associated vanilla from the oak chips. Although it is quite fruity, not much sweetness is present.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer does a nice job of combining raspberry and oaky flavors—the raspberries aren't sweet and don't taste artificial. The only thing is that it doesn't taste much like a saison and seems more like an imperial version of a fruit lambic.
Note: Bottled June 2015

Caged and corked smaller bottle, bottled June 2015 "Best when fresh"
Pours rudy reddish ambe. rQuickly deeparting khaki cap, bubbles continue to rise, no film, no collar, and minimal lace left behind.
Fruity nose with raspberries, plums, cherries amd sweet fruit juice.
More of the same on the palate, with deep and complex notes of ripe, sweet dark and ripe fruity tastiness. Nice balance between the sweet fruit and a moderate tartness. Complex and enjoyable stuff....nice sipper...worth a try

In a Smuttlabs stange the beer was a cloudy red/orange color with a one-finger light tan head. Quite carbonated.
A raspberry and sweet fruit/sweet syrup aroma.
Strong raspberry taste. Pleasantly tart. Light oak at the finish.
Medium-bodied, very bubbly.

Served in a pint glass at the Pony Bar. From notes. Reviewed 6 October 2015.
4/4.25/4.25/4/4.5
Hazy-dark red-brown with a finger of short-lived head.
It smells strongly of overripe raspberry.
Tastes like raspberries, wheat, yeast, and a hint of syrup. The aftertaste is just a mite sticky, whether due to the fruit or the malt, I'm unsure. It's rather boozy for the style, and it's unclear whether that's a good thing.
But it's damn tasty, and a good-drinking beer. Recommended.

A: Pours a ruby red/mahogany color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin bubbly cap
S: Bursts of raspberry of front, along with some hints of general estery fruitiness and oak. Very raspberry dominant
T: Starts off with a huge raspberry presence (not artificial), some tart notes, and some fruity yeasty esters. Oak comes through very lightly in the background. Finishes with lingering tartness, oak, and more raspberry
M: Medium bodied with moderate-high carbonation. Very bubbly
O: A solid lightly tart raspberry ale that is intensely focused on the raspberries. The oak chips might help restrain the berries a little, but not much. Nicely sip-able at just over 8%. A nice release from the Smuttlabs
