a super light, clean, and clear mexican lager here, just right for hot summer weather, no lime or salt or any additives either, its simple and pure, and the execution is exceptional, another example of the lower alcohol restrictions in utah favoring a style and increased drinkability without a flavor or texture sacrifice, not sure why people complain so much about it, you can package anything, whatever. love the briskness of this, the fact that some of the mexican lager yeast can be tasted even though its all as minimal and clean as it is, and the little bit of citrus from the hops on the back end, slightly more modern maybe than a lot of these because of it, but the hops are mellow too, and the proportions overall are excellent. the grain base is clean, sort of pils-esque to me, crackery and dry and maybe a little european, out of the way, but not allowing this to be watery or bland. this is not a beer to overthink, it is a beer to over drink, its so easy and bright, and there are no flaws here at all, nicely lagered. these guys went from local hero to sort of under the radar with the utah craft boom in recent years, but i think they are still ahead of the game. this is excellent.
