Tan head settles quickly into a tight layer that leaves lace. Light brown and a bit hazy. The mild floral Kent Goldings nose is followed by a hint of roasted barley sharpness in aroma. The relatively high hop bitterness coupled with roasted grain sharpness make this brew quite bitter for style. Finishes w/ burnt malt flavors and light residual sweetness. This is a decent brew, but is a bit too bitter for a Scottish.
