Pours dark orange with limited head but good lacing.

Lots of fruit on the nose. Pineapple, orange, grapefruit (white) and grapefruit (ruby red) along with hints of coconut and peach.

The brew has some fruit-forward malt on the tip of the tongue with many of the same profiles as the nose, but a whallop of bitterness on the back end of a resiny variety. I thought there was fairly present booze for the ABV on the back end but on reflection it appears to be a very mild hop burn.

Feels lighter than it is and that's a good thing. Medium but drying and drinkable.

This brew could have been really good, but something in the hop delivery is off and heavy handed. It has unique flavors but isn't balanced.

12 oz can, canned 10/7/20. Pours hazy dark gold with some big floaties and a big fluffy white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is wheat malts with mild resiny fruity hops.

The flavor is sweet wheat malt and fruit with with a lighter resiny hop bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a nice NE IPA even with the floaties.

Look: Pours a hazy yellow with a thick white head. Can says this was canned two months prior to my consumption but I’m seeing a lot of beer dandruff.

Smell: Pineapple, tangerine, citrus. Some floral notes as well but the tropical fruit dominates the smell.

Taste: Pretty hoppy front with a blend of tropical fruits. Was expecting a bit more from this one. The pineapple, orange, and lemon hints are nice but the overall taste just doesn’t seem to come together.

Feel: Light body, easy to drink. This one fell short for me but I wouldn’t consider it bad - it just doesn’t separate itself from other beers of the same style.

12 oz can from Craft Brewers. Bright, hazy golden with a fluffy head. Aroma is grainy, bready. Hops appear out of nowhere in the taste with a light citric profile, but it is really soft and subdued. Light bodied, easy drinker.

Hazy ipa, from a can. About a month out.
Pours a muddled orange lemon. No foaming. I’m thinking pineapple orange creamsicle for the aroma, with a really bright candy citrus note that cuts through. The aroma fails to come through when tasted. On the sip it’s not nearly as pronounced, and disappointingly so.

On-tap in Boise ID; pours a medium gold color with a mild, soft haziness and a fluffy white head; pretty big citrus and tropical fruit notes, dankness as well; lots of mango, orange, and a touch of earthy spice, with some stone fruit and sweeter grapefruit character as well. Overall very juicy, with non-existent bitterness; smooth and clean tasting. A winner for Uinta I think!

nice to see new beer from these guys, especially hoppy stuff, i feel like its been awhile, but this didnt wow me the way i wanted it to, tastes a little dusty and muted, not less than fresh or anything, but like the hops are just somewhat under dosed or peripheral in this somehow, and it seems balanced in a kind of boring way. i did have this in session with a lot of really robustly flavored stuff, so my palate might not have been in shape to do this perfect justice, but it just didnt pop for me. paler orange tinted brew with a short white head from the tap, not overly hazy or dense looking, and with enough carbonation. it smells and tastes a little grassy, a little dusty, and perhaps just a little bit berry-esque, like a ripe strawberry sweetness hits in the center of this, not a lot of bitterness either, but its like there never really is a flavor climax and the hops never quite differentiate themselves in any meaningful way, at least for me. not a lot of malt here either, which i guess makes the lack of hop distinction even more perplexing, almost noble type hop vibes later on, german in some way, maybe its the dustiness reminding me of dated imported pilsener or something. in any event, this is fine without being particularly remarkable, which is a shame for a beer i believe is trying to feature experimental hops. i see they can this one too, perhaps i had a dirty line or something, hope to try it in the packaged format to compare, but this didnt make much of an impression on me this time around. fine but unexciting...

edit: tried this again and was equally unimpressed, something weird about the hop profile, and its kind of drowned out even though the beer isnt overly malty. decent but not at all their best work and i stand by my original critique...

Not great. It’s okay. The after taste is horrible. Not sure what’s going on completely and I don’t like it. The smell is at least pretty good but that’s about it.

For my 6,000th review-- Utah!

Wow, it's so interestingly fruity. This is brewed with HBC 692, an experimental hop out of Yakima from the folks who brought you Citra and Mosaic. Aroma of fermenting pineapple with a hint of coconut. Malty with a pleasant sweet note, but very tangy. Green melon, but other fruity flavors that are more complex than I can assign a fruit to.

This is well worth tasting if you're interested in the future of hops. It's not overly bitter, but has a distinctive acidity. They call this New England style, but it's just slightly hazed and has none of the slippery, gunky character of so many in that category. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham, Wash.

Tastes like the brewers messed up. Hence the title. Literally tastes like crayons.

12oz can. Poured out a slightly hazy, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of grassy, orange and toasted caramel. Very grassy tasting with a sharp bitterness and some sweet toffee.
