Bottle courtesy of jale. Served in a mini snifter. Reviewed from notes.

Pours a moderate brown-copper color with a good white head with staying power. A bit of lacing on the way down. The nose brings some cherry and a bit of cinnamon. The flavor is really quite plain and doesn't bring much of the named components. Dry finish after a light body. Slightly cidery. Odd.

I got this bottle from jale at the Dark Horse 4 elf party (thanks Jim!). First I've had from Walldorff, and appropriate feeling for the holidays.

It pours a clear ruby-hued copper, a few fingers of off-white foam. It smells much better than feared, not a fan of spiced beers but the cinnamon in this one works. This smells just like cherry pie, sugar and cinnamon, tart cherries and butter.

This is a very good representation of a fruit beer, it's as if it came from Shorts, this tastes just like cherry pie. Tart cherries and I swear I taste sugary pie crust, really very interesting (in a good way). A lingering bitterness in the aftertaste, maybe hard to get around this with the spices. Glad to have tried it, thanks again Jim!
