I had an opportunity to talk Brian Sprague about what style he was going for with this beer, according to him he was letting his creativity flow went with a Belgian yeast strain, rock candy, some maple syrup, and special hop varieties to become a loose Belgian style farmhouse ale. Appears an unfiltered clouded amber read forms a large caramel cream head leaves an even coat of lacing. Aromatics bring out sweet vinous tones with some canday caramel sweet malt kick, as well as a touch of alcohol in the nose I'm also getting some spicy citrus hop character in the finish. Flavor has a touch of peated malt like smokiness fruity candy flow caramel malt comlex green grape tartness blended with grassy citric hops interesting hard to describe brew. Mouthfeel is medium bodied even fine carbonation flavors sit heavy on the sides of the palate. Drinkability a nice quaffing beer definitely original and packed with flavors that work well together I highly reccomend this one up there with Effin' beer good stuff.
