Pours a clear pale caramel and honey color with a finger of foam and better lacing than I expected. Light hops, some biscuit-y and faint stale caramel malt aromas but not a whole lot, smelling it blind I probably would have expected this to be a fresh American Pale Ale and not an American IPA. Tastes much more like an IPA, bitter, biscuit, some hops, a skosh of lemon or grapefruit peel. Pretty average and the same goes for the mouthfeel.

Easy drinking and not bad by any means, it's just gentle for an IPA that I would want myself. Overall I think it's a better beer than Shiner's Bock or Ruby Redbird that can be found almost anywhere in my area.

S: exudes hint of pine, citrus and tropical fruit aromas with faint melon and a trace of bread crumb.

L: hazy gold amber with a 2" white foam cap that takes 4 minutes to reduce to a thick film that marks each drink with a medium thick line.

T: nice blend of flavors that highlights biscuit and berry. The malt is medium to medium low, the hop flavors and bitterness are medium.

F: It has a medium to medium light body and soft medium carbonation.

O: Very easy to drink beer

It's been a few years and I'm still developing my taste for IPAs. It's often hit-or-miss for me, even with same kind of IPA. I generally am taken aback by the fruity/bitter balance of an IPA when I first start drinking it, but enjoy it by the time I finish it.

This one actually started out quite smooth and balanced, with a good mixture of fruity and bitter that didn't shock me with the first sip. However by the time I finished it, it was kind of "meh". I was almost wishing I had a lager instead.

This is not a bad beer, but it will not satisfy IPA aficionados. I would call an IPA for non-IPA drinkers.

Out of the variety pack...seems a tad light bodied for a IPA..drinkable nonetheless. First sip I took seemed to have a soapy taste. The more I drank it however the flavor wore on me. Definitely a light bodied IPA that you could take down a 6er easily on a warm summer day.

Poured from 12 oz bottle in schooner glass.
A 2" frothy white head drops slowly with lots of weblike lacing. Color is deep gold with abundant streaming carbonation. Aroma of white bread dough and grapefruit rind. Mouthfeel is light to medium quite sticky with a fairly damp finish. Flavor is nice balance of biscuit, cracker, lemon, pine and grapefruit rind. An enjoyable, straightforward IPA.

Amber, creamy head demands attention. Perfume, slight caramel, delicious. Full bodied, slight acidity, sweet bitter, and long finish. Buy a case.
