Taste: crisp, herbal gentle piney notes to hop. Fresh floral garden earthy and bread like nose. Amber/gold, clear, big foamy head with nice ring of lace on glass. Medium to med lite body. Very drinkable, much like the English version of an IPA. 55 IBUs

It pours a rich caramel color with a while head that leaves slowly. The smell is a mild hop aroma but more malty to me. The taste is heavy on the malty side with a light bite from the hops. Overall a above average drink but not what I think of as a ipa.

A poor attempt at an IPA. Unbalanced with a bitter finish. It is not a very hoppy IPA and it almost seems like they really didn't commit to being an IPA. Overall, it reminds me of a mediocre home brewed IPA.

One of the worst beers I've had in the past 10 years. Drank about half of one bottle. Seriously thinking about pouring the rest down the drain.

Thank God I only bought one. Got a 6 pack mix at the local Kroger and due to tbe lack of choices got one of these.
Look: Golden clear medium head
Smell: skunk, urine, a little hops
Taste: skunk piss. No way to be nice, it is what it is.
Feel: average carbonation.
I managed to down all 12 oz's, barely

My least favorite IPA I've had yet. Will not be buying again. Strong and disagreeable aftertaste. Too much carbonation. Flavor not complex just blah. Just drank 4 out of a 12 pack i bought. first one was drinkable but that's not saying much, I'm not that picky, the rest about the same. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I hate to dog this beer but it's pretty bad, I expected more from spoetzl even it being their first ipa.

Pours a clear pale caramel and honey color with a finger of foam and better lacing than I expected. Light hops, some biscuit-y and faint stale caramel malt aromas but not a whole lot, smelling it blind I probably would have expected this to be a fresh American Pale Ale and not an American IPA. Tastes much more like an IPA, bitter, biscuit, some hops, a skosh of lemon or grapefruit peel. Pretty average and the same goes for the mouthfeel.

Easy drinking and not bad by any means, it's just gentle for an IPA that I would want myself. Overall I think it's a better beer than Shiner's Bock or Ruby Redbird that can be found almost anywhere in my area.
