Light body with an airy white head. Smell is like a light pale ale with some wheat coming through. Not strong though. Taste was very mild. Didn't pick up much in any direction. Smooth enough, Light. Ok for a cream

A poured with a head like 7 up - completely gone by the time I got to the table.
just a bit darker amber than the macros
clear as a bell

S not too much to the nose at all

T like a macro but no metallic taste

M smooth, just a bit heavy on the carbonation

D - consider this a well done macro " call that a beer? I'd rather have another!"

Poured into dimpled seidel.

Appearance: White soapy head that doesn't stick. Thick bright straw color.

Nose: cream of wheat

Taste: Creamy, malty, faint hop crisp.

Mouth: Light-Medium boy. Refreshing but also surprisingly heavy.

Ale that tastes like lager, what a thing. On the lower cream side of things, and very much like a Bavarian helles lager, a good if all you're familiar with is Genesee.

Pours a golden slightly hazy color with a nice head and some lacing. The smell is bread and malt the taste is smooth buttery cream flavor. It does achieve the creamy mouth feel it was going for. Overall an underrated beer.

To me there's not enough cream flavor that comes through so it's almost like a normal lager with a bit of a cream twist. It's a good beer but nothing I would seek out again.

Pours a clear gold color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Slight retention and poor lacing. Smells of strong pale malt, hint of vanilla, slight sweet malt, slight citrus hops, and floral hops. Fits the style of a Cream Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong pale malt, hint of vanilla, slight sweet malt, slight citrus hops, and floral hops. Overall, weak appearance, average aroma, body, and blend.

This beer seems a bit underrated, especially within its type. Had it on tap at a local burger dive; it went great with the burger and fries! Great head and lacing, orange-ish yellow color. Bread smell. The taste was sweet with a hint of cinnamon. The feel was great, smooth and creamy. Used to get Genney cream a lot. This is better!

This is about the corniest, ale-y-est cream ale there is. Pours to a creamy and lasting head with some lacing. Aroma is cooked corn, esters and a bit of acetone. Taste is corny, fruity and on the sweet and creamy side. Finishes with a long corn afterburner. If you like a corny cream ale, this is it. I don't think it has actual corn in it but it does have the DMS going for it.

12 oz bottle served in a snifter.

Leans towards the mild side of the style, particularly in the aroma. Medium carbonation. Semi-dry finish.
Sweet up front with a mildly bitter aftertaste.

Fluffy head, creamy flavor, sweet finish made for a very easy and pleasant drink! I'd give this one a Yippie, ya yo! Also love the nostalgic labeling this brewery continues to masterly craft!

I'll make it brief: simply put, this is the easiest drinking beer I've had yet. Oh is it creamy! The smell, taste and feel are filled with creaminess. It's obviously going to be a more quality product than coors or budweiser, but I can't believe how easy it is to drink a bottle of it. My first one was gone in a few minutes! This is a bit more palatable than Shiner Bock, not to mention a little tastier, and until I try more of their product, this is going to stay my favorite beer from them. Also, if you've never had a cream ale, its like drinking a good porter, only not nearly as dark and coffee/chocolatey. All in all, a very nice brew to drink anytime.

Shiner Homespun Cream Ale has a thick, white head, a mostly clear, golden appearance, with ascending bubbles, some white flecks, and moderate lacing, left behind. The aroma is of somewhat sharp, semi-sweet sourdough bread and and a touch of candi sugar. Taste is of those elements, with just a touch of bitterness, in the closeout. Mouthfeel is medium and smooth, and Homespun Cream Ale finishes crisp and mellow.

Clear light yellow. Lacing ring lasts.
Sweet. Seedy type grains smell
Sweet grain. If there's corn its very little, subtly funk from wheat most likely. Acciduaded malt give a drying tang. Just slightly though. Some alcohol feel. But smooth.

Not much to say. It's an ok beer. Spot on style. I'd pick this over Narragansett lager and genessee though.
