Found this in the family reunion pack. Pours much darker than expected more brown that yellow with a 1/2 inch of froth that settles to practically nothing. Smell is fairly faint slight lemon and vinegar with some yeast and wheat thrown in. Taste is actually pretty clean sourness is fair and flavor of wheat is balanced. Body is light and refreshing quite easy to pound.

For less than a dollar it's an awesome beer and well worth a try!

Not bad at all. I'm not familiar with the Berliner Weisse style but I've had Weisse beer in Munich so maybe that counts as experience. This is a nice light beer, citrusy but not overpowering. You could have one or two of these while you watch the ball game or serve it with, let's say, fish or appetizers. I'd have to rate this near or better than their best offering IMO - Shiner Bock.

22 oz bomber pours a clear gold color with a decent head that fades fast to nothingness.

Nose is very nice with a fair amount of acidity, some lime leaves and a hint of sweetness.

Enough, but not by much, tartness to make this a very solid start to a berliner. There is plenty of maltiness and it doesnt have that 'too-light' flabbiness that some of the style suffer from. Very refreshing and clean. I dont think Im going too far out on a limb to say this is Spoetzl Brewings finest offering. I should have picked up more of these, it was a bargain at $3 a bomber!

You can really taste the citrus in this beer. It almost tasted like Sprite to me - fizzy and the main indication that it was indeed alcoholic was the wheat flavor. Good summer beer.
