Poured from bottle into Waterford glass, good 2 finger light tan head, good retention and lacing. Hazy caramelish Amber in the glass, looks thick and viscous. Smells of whisky, vanilla, sweet malt, Oktoberfest!!. Taste follows the nose, this beer is the shit, taste like someone dumped a small shot in an Oktoberfest, it is unbelievable. Good strong malt bill, good caramel, good whisky flavor coming thru, not hot or harsh, just picking up all the good things you want from a barrel, vanilla, some oak, there is something along the edges makes me think there is a spice involved, but I think that was just residual from the beer I had before this. Bought another bottle to keep a while, but not going to do that. Going to drink it and get another. Great job shiner, make this a yearly.
