Bought a 6-pack cans $9.69 Tamuras
49 days before best by date on can
Faint smell of pineapples
Hazy golden with a touch of amber color
Light-medium mouthfeel
Medium carbonation
Light pineapple and coconut flavors, some light bitterness, some juicy flvors
Overall just ok. Wouldn't buy again. I expect IPAs to be bold flavors and this one is not.

Pours a chill-hazed gold with 3+ fingers of pearl colored head. Below average lacing & head retention
S: Pineapple & grassyness, coconut late
T: Grapefruit, oranges, a little coconut & dryness up front. Grassyness, a little pink grapefruit & dryness as this warms, a little pineapple as well. Dryness, grassyness, some coconut in the finish
MF: Medium body, fairly firm carbonation, alright balance
Was hoping for juicyness, sort of a letdown

$ 1.94 (Including tax)/12 oz can ($0.161/oz) from Total Wine, Selma, TX. Reviewed 10/10/19.
Marked “11 19 19” on bottom of can. On shelf at store, stored and served at 42 degrees.
Appearance – 4.
First pour – Yellow, slight haze.
Body – Yellow, murky, opaque.
Head – Large (Maximum 6.8 cm, aggressive center pour), meringue-like, average duration, diminishing to a five to six mm crown with drag marks and a complete cap.
Lacing – Fair. Irregular bands of tiny to small bubbles, with columns of all widths connecting the bands.
Aroma – 3.5 – Initially strong pineapple which fades into a weak generic fruitiness and some grain.
Flavor – 3.5 – Initially a bit of pineapple bite but no coconut. The pineapple hangs around as a very weak aftertaste. No alcohol (5.2% ABV) flavor or aroma, no diacetyl, no dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 3 – Medium, slightly oily, light carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.5. Better than the average Shiner offering but hardly an IPA. Only slightly bitter, more like a lager than an IPA.

Y’all are crazy whoever thinks this IPA tastes anything like pineapple or cocunut, it just tastes like ‘beer’ to me lol.. I give it a 3 because it is smooth and tastes good and tolerable, but definitely not what I was eagerly awaiting.

This beer has a nice fruity aroma. I can smell the pineapple and coconut for sure. Doesnt necessarily have the distinct finish that most shiner beers share but this is a good twist on a fruity IPA. tastes great! The coconut and pineapple flavors balance well with the hops. I would recommend for sure.

Somewhat hazy but yes it’s a juicy IPA. And holy shit.....it’s by Shiner? Very smooth taste, plenty of pineapple / coconut upfront. Nice to see the big breweries getting in on this style of beer. Very solid and $8 a six pack? Great job!!!!

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of pineapple, coconut, and sweet caramel. Lots of sweet coconut and pineapple with a touch of caramel and bitterness.

Poured from can into tulip, good 2 finger cream colored head, so so retention, great lacing. Pale hazy golden in the glass, good looking beer, and looks like Shiner has lightened up on the caramel in this IPA. Smells of citrus, pineapple and a little whiff of coconut. Taste is clean cracker malt, slight sweetness, citrus, light pine and a small amount of pineapple and coconut, more on the coconut water side vs what you get from the meat. Finish is low on bitterness and you are left with a little remnant of the pineapple and coconut. Seriously I did not buy this for the pineapple and coconut. I pretty much buy everything that Shiner releases at least once and I have been waiting for them to make a modern IPA (malt bill wise) and I think they have succeeded here. This is easy drinking and it will probably be a repeat buy on this one
