Dark gold, slightly hazy, minimal white head.
Smells grainy and slightly floral.
Lots of flavor, tastes more like a European lager/pilsner/helles. I would guess saaz hops, much hoppier than American lagers. Compared to the domestic adjunct lagers this is definitely more flavorful. Very good.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. NO freshness dating.
Pale golden yellow body with light carbonation. Small white head quickly disappears, no lacing.
Generic lagery aroma.
Generic lagery taste. Quite soft in the mouth.
Mouth above medium, finish quite dry, no aftertaste.
Overall, not much to get excited about here.

Not bad but nothing special. Not a whole lot going on in the flavor department.

Part of a mixed multi-pack, this was the light one.
Saazy, not power-packed but not too hard to like if you're a saaz fan. Easy drinking, thirst quenching, and light.
Probably not gonna win ginormous numbers of awards, but still a solid and tasty choice from a long time favorite local brewery

Look: Clear gold; small white head that dissipates quickly.
Smell: Very bready, some earthy notes.
Taste: Bready malts, a bit sweet up front, leaves some notes of hops after swallowing.
Feel: High carbonation, medium-full body.
Overall: Pretty easy drinking; I don't think there's much *wrong* with it, but it's just not my favorite style.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: Pours a Clear, deep straw with 1/4 finger of heat that recedes to a ring
Smell: Cracker malt up front with some faint noble hop aromas
Taste: Light bready malt flavors with some sweetness towards the finish, mild earthy bitterness from the hops
Mouthfeel: Full body, high carbonation
Overall: Sometimes the SMaSH concept doesn't always carry over. This beer is just not too exciting as its billed. Shiner Premium is a more satisfying lager. On its own, 1909 is an average lager that would go great with food but beyond that it's just not a good showcase for Saaz hops.
