Appearance: Pours a hazy medium gold, with an abundant and moderately coarse snow-white head. A profusion of fat bubbles coat the glass wall beneath the surface, with occasional examples racing to the surface. After a minute or two, the head collapses to a scattering of foam. The lacing is thing and irregular.
Aroma: A strong note of moderately bitter lemon presents, with a lesser degree of sweetness. I wonder if some of the bitter and vegetal note is a contribution of the agave. The aroma is pleasant and while sweet, is far removed from a lemonade alcopop,
Taste: Opens with a sweet wave of lemon which quickly turns moderately bitter, nicely countering the sweetness. As the taste progresses, the agave and lemon vie with each other, offering lemon rind against a mildly sweet undercurrent. The malt really struggles to make its presence known, presenting only a slight bread note. The finish offers a mild, lingering sweetness against a backdrop of bitter lemon.
Mouth feel: The carbonation is a bit sharp and reminiscent of champagne; the body is surprisingly full.
Drinkability/notes: Very pleasant and drinkable on this first full day of Spring in Central Texas. While I purchased this today, I do not know if it is a new arrival or old stock from last Summer. It seemed perfectly fine, though, with none of the signs of old beer.
Presentation: Packaged in a twelve-ounce brown glass longneck bottle with a twist-off crown, served in a South American-style Pilsener glass.

The beer base for this is, at least, unobtrusive. Lemonade aspect is strong, tart, artificial. Cloyingly sweet.
There are other, better, widely-distributed "Summer Shandy"s - but I won't name names.

intensely flavored, lemonade more than beer, almost a from concentrate pungency to it, not quite real lemon to me but it does hit like lemonade, summery for sure, better colder than warmer, no surprise there, and another beer from these guys on the edge of being over the top but with some seasonal appeal at the same time. there is also agave in this, which is kind of a neat fact, but this is somewhat generically sweet, maybe it keeps it lighter than grain sugar would, definitely balances the tartness of the lemon, this isnt real sour or anything. it almost looks like lemonade too, a little haze and a very light yellow color, decent white head on it from the bottle, bubbly in a way the strawberry one wasnt, more lively, which helps with the thirst quenching summer vibes this is obviously reaching for. the flavor is a lot like powdered lemonade, like that stuff that makes the dust when you open the lid, sweet and sort of artificially tart, neither limits drinkability as much as the somewhat chemical aspect, this is less real to me than the strawberry one, cheaper overall, and there is really very little of the base beer coming through, its all lemonade. this has a time and a place, perhaps a very specific one, like early morning on the first tee, and its kind of craft adjacent for me, but i get why its working for them. flavored beer is in, and this is highly flavored. i think it brings to beer some palates that maybe have been on the seltzers and such for awhile, this is pretty darn approachable if you are coming to beer from that side, so maybe it has an important role to play too. not one for volume drinking, at least for me, a bit too artificial, but i dont necessarily want it dead either...

Aroma is sweet lemonade/agave and a hint of German hops. The flavor is big lemonade, a hint of agave, malts and a medium sweet/slightly bitter hop finish.

Nothing notable about the appearance or pour but the aroma is a bouquet of agave and lemon peel. Taste wise it's very heavy on the agave and the lemonade also makes its presence known. I'd like to think the ratio of ingredients here is 3/4 of the beer/lemonade base and 1/4 agave. But otherwise this is a very refreshing seasonal beer from Shiner that borders into sour territory vs a regular shandy and I was pleasantly surprised by how simple but delicious it was.

12oz bottle. Poured out a very clear, golden-yellow color with a small, fizzy, white head. It left minimal lacing. It smelled of lemonade, agave and some caramel. Sweet agave taste with tart lemonade and very low bitterness.

Found this at my local H.E.B. today. This beer is a little too sweet for a session beer. But, I enjoy it. The lemon isnt overpowering, very easy drinking. Great for after mowing the grass or hanging out at the river on a hot Texas day. Not as good as Leinenkugels Summer Shandy imo.
