A- This pours a rich chocolaty looking color and from the inside rim the carbonation is quite aggressive in nature. The head reminds me of a caramel colored beach....thick and frothy for about the first 4/5ths of the top and it progresses into the watery ocean of beer, hardly showing any creamy top but rather exposing the brew underneath for the last fifth....it retains very well however, as though it is a nitro head, and leaves behind an impressive artistic lacing around the glass!
S- Well I have to say, this smells as advertised, with an explosion of creamy, rich chocolate milk sweetness. After this, brewers yeast infused bread, dark chocolate, mocha coffee, vanilla all show themselves on the nostrils, leaving an overall rich dessert like aroma, and is very reminding to me of the chocolate milk that I enjoyed earlier in the day!
T- The flavors are very intense and more like a Dark Ale versus the heavy sweetness found in the aromas. I still get a large amount of chocolate, both milk and dark, and heavy vanilla bean that helps round it out. Drier Earthy black and/or chocolate malts, alongside black coffee, heavy cream, and some burnt sugars.......a delicious concoction!!!
M/O- The carbonation, while heavy, is velvety smooth, and helps enhance the medium full body by allowing the liquid to coat the palate really well. The alcohol in this one is liqueur like and I find the drinkability factor very high.....I would rather enjoy having several of these over an evening, and especially if the weather is a little on the cool side. Would pair well with a sharp cheddar, chocolate based dessert or beef based entree! Will get again and recommended.....well done Whistler Brewing!

The last of a flight and it was a good dessert! You gotta love chocolate.
I have had a handful of this style until a trip to the Northwest and my experience has doubled.

Not huge on this style of beer... But this was an impressive take. Huge hits of chocolate, without an overly think milky feel.
Look: Dark chocolate brown w/ gratuitous tan head.
Smell: Heavy chocolate malt, dark chocolate, intense.
Taste: semi sweet malt with big hit of dark chocolate, get some milky sweetness coming through but not overwhelming.
Mouthfeel: not overly thick for a milky styled beer, easy enough to put back
Overall: A rather approachable take on the beer, it may be lacking flavor profile of some stouts & milkshake beers on the market... But in my mind that's grand.
