On draft at the Blind Tiger, NYC.

Poured a deep copper hue with a half finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured piney hop resins and a touch of grainy malt.

The taste consisted of an upfront hop spice with elements of citrus and pine. A light caramel malt detected as well.

The mouthfeel was typical of the style with a vigorous carbonation.

Overall good drinkability. Strangely dark in color for the style and body however.

One of my local spots does taster growlers of 10oz (like frappacino bottles) and they had this one at their growler station today so I decided to give it a shot.

A - Poured from 10oz sampler growler into a Maredsous chalice an orange honey with typical thin bubbly pale ale head and a quick burst of lively carbonation.

S - Hops dominates the smell but has some nice fruity undertones.

T - The hops jump out right away with a very dry and bitter aftertaste. Great one to try for the fan of the hoppy pale ales, a bit more subtle than say a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

M - A little watery but the hops bite isn't that intense which I prefer. Finishes really nice.

D - Really smooth, just a bit watery, but a really nice not in your face hops flavor. Very drinkable APA.

Had on tap at the brewery 9/22/09.

I would argue that of the beers I tried (all that they had available that day) this was their best.

Deep orange/amber body, egg shell colored head. creamy and nice lacing. Good looking.

Nose is hoppy, obvious citrus, maybe leaning on the lemony side. Just a little grassy, with a sweet backbone of malt. Smells good to me!

Palate is again, of mild, smooth, but appropriately bitter hops. Nice malt, pale and maybe just slightly roasted.

Sticky mouthfeel, coats the mouth with good flavor. Good carbonation and low abv makes for a great beer.
Very very quaffable. Easy to drink and deliciously refreshing. Right on par with the style.

Pours a cloudy orange/brown with a thick creme head. Nose is mildly woody with some citrusy hops. Very, very smooth citrus, bitter, hoppy profile. Bitter but smooth. Feel is the same. Smooth and slightly sticky liquid and an appropriate carbonation. A great drinker. Some beers were meant to be served via cask.
