I picked this growler up at the brewery in NY, share with some Lancaster county brewers. Poured chilled into my half pint.
A - gently hazed medium brown w/ a 1.5 inch cream colored head. Lacing is good and the bead is pin sized
S - Mild creamy cocoa and nutty toffee aroma w/ hints of pine and toast crust. A mild raisin note is hinted at w/ caramel accents
M - A gently carbonated mildly sweet and roasted blend of textures. Mild sweetness w/ nutty and mild yeast in the finish
T - A tasty malt accentuated porter w/ a brown malt flavor dominated w/out the over roasted taste characteristics some exhibit. The flavor is smooth like cocoa and has an almost milk chocolate quality in taste that ripples on the palate w/ only a sufficiently roasted hint of grainy flavor
D - A very fine porter in the English style. Very, Very drinkable -spot on style-wise w/ out any unecessary sweetness, just malt texture and taste that draws you in
