TOO much Mango. Tasted a little too much mango. Made it seem artificial.

I can account for at least part of the reason for this one having fallen into The Bottle Backlog here at Chez Woody - see the approved pic? Like or dislike, it was submitted by yours truly since I refuse to Pop! a cap or Crack! open a CAN unless a pic is in place. My having to get set up, take the pic, crop the pic & get it submitted & approved all takes time, causing the beers to fall by the wayside in the interim.
From the bottle: "Wheat Ale with Natural Mango Flavor Added".
First off, it was yet another twisted twist-off cap, which generally inflames me. Second, I looked at both "Styles" on this site & the BJCP, but no mention is made of Radlers. I decided that since it is, at base, a wheat ale, that I would gently agitate it in the bottle & give it an aggro pour as clarity does not seem to be a concern. My agitation may have worked just a little too well as foamy, rocky, bone-white head came rushing up to the point that I had to stop the operation to allow it to slowly settle. My machinations seemed to pay off as the foam finally fell away to wisps & the color was a murky Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9). Nose was odd, heavy with mango, but also like pancakes! I never had mango pancakes, although I ate a LOT of mangoes in the tropics while in the Navy. I'll bet that mango pancakes might be pretty tasty. Everything is mango-infused now anyway so the next time I am near an IHOP, I will have to inquire as to the availability/possibility. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was very tropical fruity with flavors of coconut to go with the mango, plus I still stand by that bready, pancake taste. All in all though, it made for a pretty sweet drink & I am not sure that such is the purpose of a Radler. Finish was sweet, fruity and while not necessarily refreshing, it was certainly pleasant.

A hazy amber color with white head that dropped fast. It smells like mango lip gloss. The taste is strongly mango, like a strong mango extract or flavoring went into the production. Medium bodied. Overall just not a fan, too much mango, and it tastes cheap as a result.
