I really miss not having visited the Midwest since November 2014. I spoke to the Sprecher rep during the recent Lancaster Beer Fest & he assures me that good things are happening between Chicago, Milwaukee & Madison. This bottle was a gift from one of my Friday night tasting group mates, Kyle. Many thanks!
It was a screw-top bottle, so I was screwed out of even the Pop! Oh, well. 8=( I began with a moderate pour & it was coming out a fairly clear shade of yellow. This did not seem right so I peered in & saw that there was a good amount of lees nestled on the punt, so I swirled what remained in the glass & finished the pour. As a result, it became a muddy (not just cloudy) Amber to Deep Amber/Light Copper (SRM = > 9, < 13). Nose had an odd tang and while hophugger might seem harsh in evoking "furniture polish", I can't really disagree. I was put in mind of powdered Tang, which I do not even know if they still make it. We agree that the nose was certainly odd. Mouthfeel was thin and kind of watery. The taste was very bitter, more like orange seeds and pith than pulp and juice. I did not find this to be at all pleasant. Finish was dry, but bitter, really bitter. This either needs tweaked or retired, but in its present iteration, it is pretty near undrinkable. I will finish it, take a picture for submission & approval & leave this in my rear view mirror.

Very interesting. Good and bad kind of balance out. Look is a deep peach color with minimal head. Aroma is weird, I get orange and also furniture polish. Taste is very refreshing but I can only think of the furniture polish. Weird !
