Consumed on-tap at Hill's in Spokane for $3 happy hour price. From notes.
Poured a mahogany-ish shade, with a decent, light tan head. Moderate amount of lace.
Bready malts and piney hops are the stars of the aroma. Unlike other west coast ESBs I've tried, the hops are a little more subordinate to the malts, but there's still a more noticeable hop scent than, say a Fullers ESB.
In the taste, the hops are a little bolder, though, like in the smell, the malts still reign supreme. There's a moderate dryness at the swallow.
Medium bodied, with a slightly slick mouthfeel.
A very tasty beer. Quite drinkable. I don't know what the abv of this is, but I could easily have several. I've yet to have a bad beer from Ninkasi. I may be a Husky fan, but these guys are beginning to make me look favorably on Eugene.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a pretty medium brown with just under an inch of light khaki colored head that good retention and lacing.
The aroma is fairly representative of the style, nice biscuity malt, a hint of roast, a whisp of hops in the background. The flavors followed that path very well, with everything a little sharper and more focused. The was a light, lindering hop tang on the finish.
The body was typical, medium, smooth and well-rounded, and showed why this style is favorite of mine when several beers. Drinkability was very good, having a nice session with these would be an easy joy. Overall, a pretty good beer, well worth your time.
